Cybersecurity is the practice of protecting systems, networks, applications, and access to internet users’ data from cyber-attacks. Nowadays, especially in a view of constantly increasing risk of cyber-attacks, the high level of awareness is of utmost importance. For this purposes all our customers are kindly asked to pay attention to cyber security issues.
What is phishing?
Phishing is a worldwide practice of sending fraudulent communications conducted by cybercriminals that appear to come from a well-known organisation or with the use of their logo. The purpose of cybercriminals is to master the personal data of Internet users (password, card data, etc.). Phishing is usually done via email.
Steps To Protect From Phishing:
Personal Data Protection:
- Never share your card number, PIN code, CVV code, login and password for the internet /mobile banking;
- Never send you ID or any other document reflecting personal information to the third parties or share them on public platforms like social media etc. ;
- Never fill out the personal data on unsecure web sites; Make sure you are at the right address;
- Make Sure Your PIN's and password’s security level is high. Do not choose PIN that matches your special days and dates, phone numbers, birthday or foundation year of your favourite team, names of children etc., which are easy to figure out.
Spam E-mails:
- JSC Isbank Georgia will never ask for your personal information or PINs via e-mails. In case your passwords are asked orally, in written form or via IVR, never provide information and contact the Bank on (+995 32 244 22 44)
- JSC Isbank Georgia sends only informative e-mails. If you receive an e-mail unlike our previous e-mails, consider this is as a suspicious situation and contact the Bank on (+995 32 244 22 44).
- Check carefully received email address if it seems suspicious to you. Make sure you know the sender, if not, verify it ends with ‘’@isbank.ge’’ .
Your computer security
- Make sure your internet browsers are up-to-date;
- Using an updated internet browser is extremely important in terms of using the Internet Branch fast and secure. Malwares often exploit deficiencies in outdated operating systems and internet browsers;
- It is essential to keep your Operating System, firewall browser and third party applications updated for fast and secure online banking transactions. Malwares often exploit deficiencies in outdated OS, browser and/or third party applications (such as Adobe Flash, Java etc.). Updates and newer versions fix the known deficiencies and bugs, thus improving stability and security.
Bank Card Security
- Make Sure Your Card PIN's Security Level is high. Make sure your card PIN does not include numbers like date of birth, phone number etc. which is easy to guess. If your current PIN is easy to guess, we recommend you to change your PIN by visiting one our Branches or via Bank’s ATM.
- Avoid sharing your Bank card PIN and information
- Do not give your card number, expiration date and security code to third parties; always check the merchant’s sites for security while shopping online.
- Do not disclose or write anywhere your credit card information to anybody including Isbank Georgia’s personnel. Keep in mind that JSC Isbank Georgia will never ask you to provide your PIN.

3D Secure is a three-dimensional security system developed by the world's largest card providers Visa and MasterCard. This security protocol, which enables shopping over the Internet, is one of the most preferred security supports. It is authenticated and protected with private passwords and keys.
